Botox treatment do and don’ts

The Botox treatment remains effective for several months based on the patient’s profile. Generally it can last effective for around 9 months. An injection once in a year is enough for a person to gain younger look. A person can resume his or her normal activity as soon as the treatment is done. This treatment is non surgical and requires no anesthesia. The treatment is costly but relatively cheaper when compared to other surgical treatment.

An alternative to Botox treatment is facial massage or face lift.  These two treatments have no harmful effects but in Botox treatment there is a risk of muscular tension or poisoning. This happens in the case of injecting inappropriate amount of Botox in the body. Death may even result from it.

It is important to consult dermatologist before taking Botox treatment. Botox works by paralyzing the muscles of the skin with a neurotoxin. The advantage is that it prevents movements that produce wrinkles and maintains a smoother looking skin.

The disadvantage is that it is not a long term solution. The result may last up to 9 months and then the person has to again take injection. Botox treatment is found expensive by many people. Anti wrinkle cream is a good option to avoid wrinkles.

Botox is a type of cosmetic procedure where a protein derived from botulism toxin is injected into a person’s skin. This minimizes wrinkles and smoothens the skin. It is not used on person who takes antibiotics on a regular basis. Women who are pregnant and breastfeeding should not take this treatment.
