Dark circles under the eyes tend to age us more than wrinkles or grey hair. The dark circles can persist as a long term feature sometimes as a result of an illness or allergies or inadequate sleep or heredity. You can minimize the appearance of dark circles under your eyes or remove them completely. Follow the below tips to reduce dark circles.
- Try to sleep 7-9 hours per night. Watch after a couple of weeks, if that helps.
Avoid Alcohol and drug or use them only in moderation for best results. - Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables especially cabbage, spinach and other leafy vegetables.
- Reduce salt intake as excess salt causes the body to retain water in unusual places as it result in puffiness under the eyes.
- Cucumber slices have long been used to reduce puffiness and refresh the appearance of skin around the eyes.
- Leave the cool and damp caffeinated tea bags over your eyes for 15 minutes. This will give best result.
- Put a spoon in the freezer for 60 minutes. Take it out and cover the circles with it. Hold it until the spoon is warm again.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes.
- Wear dark sunglasses to protect your skin from melanin changes.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Make sure you don’t drink too many fluids before bed time.
