Listed below are tips to reduce dark elbows and knees.
- Rub with lime juice leave it for 10 – 15 minutes. Soak a towel in hot water and scrub firmly.
- Mix 1 tspn coconut oil with half a tspn of lime juice. Apply and wash in the same way with a hot towel.
- To get rid of dark knees and elbows take a banana mash it and add sugar in it and mix well. After that apply it on the dark area and rub it well for 10 to 15 minutes. This will work as a scrub and apply it twice a week.
- Mix ¼ cup brown sugar and 1/8 cup olive oil in a bowl. Massage the scrub into elbows, knees, ankles and other trouble spots. Wash off after 30 minutes.

- Squeeze the juice out of two quarter wedges of a lemon and add salt, then scrub into skin gently.
- Mix fresh lemon juice and baking soda to make a thick paste and apply to dry spots. Leave it as such for 15 minutes. Wash off and apply a moisturizer or Vaseline.
- Keeping the area moisturized would be the best way to prevent dark elbows and knees in the first place. The best bet would be to apply cocoa butter, as it is the finest moisturizer for knees and elbows. Honey can also be used.
- Nothing can be better than increasing water consumption. Water not only keeps you healthy, but also eliminates all sorts of darkness.
- Using the right SPF sunscreen block can go a long way in helping prevent skin darkness that results from excessive exposure to sun.
- Do not kneel on your knees or lean on your elbows.
