Homemade scrub for body

The basis of all body scrubs is to match a mildly abrasive base like sugar or salt with a moisturizing ingredient. A homemade body scrub can often be a little too harsh for the sensitive skin on your face. A milder grain like granulated sugar might be perfect for your legs or body. Salt is often far harsher and so might be better suited for the tough skin on your heels or elbows. Listed below are methods to prepare and apply home made body scrubs.

Take 250 gms sugar in a bowl and add few spoons of olive, almond or jojoba oil and a few drops of essential oil and you have a wonderful home made body scrub. First clean your body and apply the scrub gently in a circular motion. After a few minutes of scrubbing, gently wash off with Luke warm water.

Grind the oats in a food processor. Mix oats with the rest of the ingredients like two tablespoons of granulated sugar, two tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel, one tablespoon of honey, one teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of olive oil. Apply the body scrub on moist skin after you have gently cleansed first. Rub gently into your skin using a circular motion and rinse off.

Mix two tablespoon ground coffee, one tablespoon fine oatmeal, one tablespoon brown sugar, one tablespoon honey, one tablespoon sweet almond oil and one teaspoon vanilla extract to form a paste. Massage your homemade body scrub into your skin gently in a circular motion after you have cleansed.

Mix three tablespoon baby oil, one tablespoon yogurt and one tablespoon granulated white sugar to make a paste. Now massage all over the body in a gentle scrubbing motion. Rinse well with warm water.
